Textures and the Sense of Touch





I was looking on Pinterest for some arts and crafts type of activities to complement the 5 Senses this week and I stumbled upon this Pin:

I though it was a great idea so I recreated the worksheet with some minor tweaks to work for my students.  I will have those that can print print the various textures on each finger and those that can't print, I created a cut and paste solution on page 2 of the file.  I am going to print it onto card stock for durability.

Here is what I am planning on using for each texture:
Smooth - piece of lamination scraps
Rough - sandpaper
Fluffy - pompom or cotton ball
Hard - metal washer
Soft - piece of fleece fabric scraps
